This year the US conference I go to each year was moved from Florida to San Francisco Bay area, which made a nice change. I went out on the Friday leaving Saturday free for a Bay Cruise! A search of flight schools highlighted Aerodynamic Aviation (formerly Amelia Reid Aviation) as a recommended operation. I got in touch with owner Zdravko Podolski and he booked me a Citabria 7KCAB and Jim Grant as instructor to make me legal. The Citabria was immaculate, having been recently been restored, and Jim is a great guy. It was fun trying out a taildragger and took a little while to get used to a big engine up front - a bit more rudder work than usual. I didn't get used to taxiing it though - quite a struggle with only a small cross wind.
As usual click on the first image for a bigger one, and a more detailed explanation of what's going on. And if you are ever in the area do the Bay Cruise! www.ameliareid.com
