I spent a week in the US but couldn't get a flight back on the Saturday, so had to stay one more day. I read all the time in the EOC magazine Coupe Capers all about fly-ins on the West Coast USA so I contacted Linda Abrams who is based in LA and Dan Hall who is the EOC Director for California. There was no fly-in planned but Dan very kindly took me up in his excellent CD flying around the greater LA area. Can you imagine flying around London looking at the sights? There doesn't appear to be a "glide clear" rule here, or if there is then you just land on a highway. In the evening I met up with Linda Abrams who unfortunately couldn't make the flying. Many thanks to both of you for making me so welcome!
